Verónica Arcas Pilz

Verónica Arcas-Pilz is a graduate in Biology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) with a special emphasis on plant biology and plant physiology. She holds a master's degree from the University of Hohenheim (Germany) in “Environmental protection and agricultural food production”. She holds a PhD from the Sostenipra research group at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA-UAB). Her thesis focused on reducing the environmental footprint of urban agricultural production within the framework of the circular economy. Currently, she is working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of environmental science and technology (ICTA) on the simbiotic flows between agriculture and cities, focusing on the  recovery of urban waste flows for local agricultural production.
